Important: This policy describes Smart Plate's intended privacy approach during development. Details of optional household synchronisation, third-party services and advertising must be checked against the released app before publication on Google Play.
1. Our approach
Smart Plate is designed to minimise collection of personal information. Meal plans, recipes and shopping information are primarily managed on your device. You do not need to provide a personal profile merely to plan meals.
2. Information you add
The app may process recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, budget information and household settings that you choose to enter. These may contain information you type yourself. Information stored locally remains on your device unless you use a feature that transfers or shares it.
3. Optional household sharing
When you choose household-sharing features, selected shopping or recipe information may be transmitted to other household members using the app's synchronisation service. The exact data transmitted, service provider, retention and deletion arrangements will be documented and verified before public release. Avoid including sensitive personal information in shared recipe or shopping notes.
4. Recipe imports
When you initiate an import from a website, the app may retrieve the recipe content from the address you provide. The website you visit may process your connection under its own privacy policy. Smart Plate does not intend to publish your imported recipes publicly.
5. Advertising and consent
Smart Plate plans to display advertisements using Google AdMob. Google and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, and advertising interactions, subject to applicable law, user choices and Google's policies. 6. Analytics and other services
This website does not intentionally use analytics cookies or advertising trackers. The app's final third-party service list and any associated data collection must be verified before release. Cloudflare processes technical request information to deliver and secure this website under its own policies.
7. Retention and deletion
Locally saved app information can generally be removed through the app's controls or by removing app data. Shared information may persist on other household devices or in the synchronisation service; the exact deletion process will be confirmed before release. For privacy questions, email us.
8. Children
Smart Plate is intended as a general household utility, not specifically directed at children. The final age-targeting and advertising configuration will be set during release preparation.
9. Your rights
